The scanner is really very easy to use, but it can be tricky getting the paper to feed sometimes. Once the user gets the hang of it, he has no problem. Good quality images. I recommend it for an inexpensive scanner with a small footprint.
Accounting eventually followed suit so they could scan invoices to the buyers for approval. I first became aware of Visioneer/Paperport while I was working. My office decided to equipt each buyer with a sheet feed scanner to place in front of their monitors. The scanners were used to scan and forward documents to accounts payable as required which took a burden off of interoffice mail. It eventually "snowballed" into other sections of the company.I have since retired and have an "all-in-one" printer at home but it does not have the "flexability" of the Visioneer. That is the reason I bought the XP100.
Of course it is not possible to preview and scan with any sheet feed scanner Wish price could be less than $100 for this product. Soft ware of Paperport is very good has very useful feature in Folder management.
it is reasonably fast in Gray and Black white mode. It is very portable and very useful for a person wants to carry while on the road.
Image is not perfectly straight most of the times. Color can be slow and noisy.
The sheet should be properly fed if not the scanning image will not be straight. Lacks the preview of image before scanning as it is possible in Flat bed.
The current price of $179.00 is a bit high.
Same deal. Scans totally black. Bought the Road Warrior, installed it, worked fine. First time I tried to use it on the road, it was totally dead.
Then it stopped working. This is my second Visioneer scanner in three months. Installed, worked fine. I'm now looking on Amazon for a robust portable scanner to have Fedexed to me overseas by my U. Uninstalled, reinstalled, etc.
I must print, sign and scan docs twice a week. S. (I agree with the warnings about difficulty in aligning pages to scan). Got a nice tech guy at a college where my kids are training to help, he got it working once. Still dead.So I bought this one (XP100), because I was leaving for a one year overseas trip, and needed it immediately.
Yes, I must be a glutton for punishment. Next time I booted, dead again.I will never, never buy Visioneer again. office, from another vendor.
The installation fairly annoying. The instructions are inaccurate. No driver is bundled with the install package and the Windows wizard was unable to locate a driver. I finally gave up on installing it after 2 hrs.I would look at other options before purchasing this. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because there is nothing lower.
